About Tasneem Alhomsy

Tasneem is currently only accepting clients located in Texas.

Meet Tasneem, a multicultural community counselor whose path to therapy is rooted in a genuine passion for people, all kinds of people, from all walks of life. A recent graduate of the Community-Based Block (CBB) program at San Diego State University, Tasneem brings a fresh, culturally grounded perspective to her work, alongside a deep commitment to making therapy feel accessible, safe, and truly collaborative.

Tasneem's clinical foundation is built on trauma-informed care, and she draws from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based theory, and person-centered therapy, tailoring her methods to fit each client's unique needs and story rather than applying a rigid formula.

During her internship at Cuyamaca College, Tasneem worked as a personal counselor supporting individuals across diverse age groups facing academic stress, anxiety, depression, and the everyday complexity of personal growth. It was there that she developed her skills in career counseling, crisis support, and meeting people with empathy exactly where they are.

She currently works at Qalam in Dallas, Texas, where she continues to deepen her understanding of integrating mental health care with Islamic principles, bringing together clinical practice and spiritual sensitivity in a way that feels whole, not compartmentalized. For clients whose faith is central to who they are, this integration can make all the difference.

Tasneem is especially passionate about supporting individuals from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds who are navigating relational challenges, trauma, depression, and anxiety. She approaches every client with cultural humility, genuine empathy, and a deep respect for the experiences that have shaped them.

In working with Tasneem, you can expect a warm, inclusive, and empowering space where your voice is centered and your goals matter. Together, you will work on strengthening your emotional wellbeing, building self-understanding, and developing practical tools for managing stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, and life's inevitable transitions, moving steadily toward lasting resilience and meaningful personal growth.
