Meet Amera, a licensed counselor with over 20 years of experience supporting adults, teens, children, couples, and families. As a first-generation Iraqi-American, Amera offers therapy in both English and Arabic and brings deep cultural understanding to her work with individuals navigating identity, family dynamics, and acculturation challenges.

Amera specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, domestic abuse, parenting support, anger and stress management, self-esteem, communication skills, and personal growth. She works collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors, explore the impact of relationships and family systems, and develop clear goals with practical strategies for meaningful change. Many clients begin noticing relief and increased clarity within the first few weeks of therapy.

Her approach is warm, empowering, and tailored to each individual’s needs. While she frequently incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she draws from an eclectic range of evidence-based modalities to create a personalized and supportive experience.
